This dainty little spoon has an oak leaf on the end of a thin twig handle.
The oak is England’s national tree.

How big is a pinch of salt?
As most people do not have spoons small enough, a pinch of salt, sugar, or spice is traditionally defined as “the amount that can be taken between the thumb and forefinger”.
There are various opinions as to the actual quantity for a pinch of salt and either 1/16 or 1/8 teaspoon (0.3 or 0.6 ml) seem to be the most common.
Each oak leaf tiny spoon is hand crafted from polished, solid lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and completely nickel-free and food safe.
Because our designs are all created in solid metal, the surface of your oak leaf condiment spoon will never flake like a silver plated spoon. To clean, simply wash with warm soapy water.
All our designs are made exclusively by us in our own workshops in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
